The Allen Foundation always puts together a great trip to introduce and expose our student travelers to the world's culture and history. This trip was especially steeped in history and culture. From how the Muslims and Christians influenced and built the fabric of who Spain is today. On this trip, we learned how Muslims built amazing temples, villages, and towns, only for Christians to come in, take over, continue building on top of them, and add their distinct touches to the buildings and towns. It was very interesting to see how the two cultures overlapped and expanded on each other. Spaniards have learned to coexist with these two very different cultural and religious beliefs in harmony. We have a lot to learn from Spain and how we can live in harmony with others. The food in Spain was absolutely the best and truly amazing. I have never had tomatoes or avocados so fresh and tasty. The olives and olive oil were an added touch that made the food melt in your mouth. If you have the opportunity to send your student on a trip with the Allen Foundation, it is highly recommended to allow them to gain life experiences that will help them grow and learn who they are and who they could be.

The Spain program was an unforgettable experience for my son. The organization, logistics, educational activities, and cultural immersion were outstanding. Learning through firsthand experiences allowed the students to connect with history, geography, and culture in a meaningful way that goes far beyond the classroom. The trip helped them mature, build stronger friendships, gain confidence, and broaden their understanding of the world. My son returned inspired, grateful, and excited to continue exploring and learning through future programs. I highly recommend this organization to any family seeking an enriching educational experience for their child.
